I know in my last blog post I was giving out about random businesses reaching out to form “partnerships” – basically selling non-sensical services in the area of lead generation and AI expertise.

This week Dee received another such offer but one that I haven’t seen before.

If I read it correctly they are providing us with the opportunity of adding carefully curated fake LinkedIn accounts to our team that we could use as part of our outreach efforts.

According to their blurb these are verified accounts, they have credible connections, they look Western or American and they have really good career experience working with US startups!!

You can choose the profiles you are interested in and they will, wait for it ….Rent these to you!!

At this stage so many of these clowns think everything is a wonderful trick – between an abundance of worthless AI content and a proliferation of fake accounts the online world is devaluing itself exponentially.

Are the scammers always 10 steps ahead of the social media platforms?

Keep it real folks online, own your own language, your own words, your own tone, your own quirks and your own colloquialisms, and maybe even the odd typo!

Stay human and let your connections be between real people and not fakes, because that will only make you one.
